NEW DELHI: Lashkar terrorist Abdul Karim Tunda was questioned by Punjab police over his links with Sikh militant outfit Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) and his role in recovery of 10 kg of RDX in Amritsar in 2009.
Punjab police had on December 31, 2009 recovered 10 kg of RDX from a car outside government guest house in Amritsar. Three persons were arrested in connection to the recovery.
Investigations revealed that Ratandeep Singh was the key conspirator behind the planting of RDX to carry out high-intensity blast in Amritsar.
Tunda after arrest had made revelations on pro-Khalistani organization Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) and Pakistani intelligence agency ISI.
He said that pro-Khalistani terrorist organization Babbar Khalsa was planning to carry out terror attacks in India.
Tunda had also confirmed the recent threats from Sikh militant outfits and said that Babbar Khalsa chief Wadhawa Singh resides in Karachi in Pakistan but most of the decisions related to the organization are taken by Ratandeep Singh now as Wadhawa has grown old.
Punjab police suspect that Tunda had helped Ratandeep Babbar to flee to Nepal from where he moved to Pakistan via Bangladesh.
Tunda had reportedly Wadhawa Singh Babbar and Ratandeep Singh on several occasions and BKI constantly used his network to carry out its operations.
Tunda had also admitted that BKI had demanded consignment of explosives to Delhi before the Commonwealth Games in 2010 which he had sent as well.
