Punjab
Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today asked state officers to
prepare a master plan for constructing a 'Integrated Education Hub' by
optimally utilising 43 acres land of the local Sports College.
The
land must be utilised judiciously by constructing the integrated
education hub with a world class government college, sports school and
special school to impart quality education to the students of the
region, he said while presiding over a meeting of officers at circuit
house here.
While
the government college and sports school would be pivotal in providing
quality training to the budding players of the region, the special
school would give education to the meritorious students securing 80 per
cent or more marks from the government schools, he said. All these
institutions should be equipped with ultra modern sports facilities, the
Chief Minister said adding they should also have boarding and lodging
facilities.
