18KG HEROIN SEIZED NEAR PAK BORDER

Amritsar April 17:
The BSF seized 18kg heroin, valued around Rs 90 crore, and fake Indian currency notes with face value of Rs 4.87 lakh from near the Indo-Pak border in Punjab's Ferozpur district.
BSF inspector general Aditya Mishra said BSF troops observed some suspicious movement along the fence in Khemkaran. "On being challenged by the troops, the intruders ran towards the Pakistani side leaving behind the drugs and fake currency." So far this year, the BSF has recovered a total of 91kg heroin from near the Indo-Pak border in the Punjab sector.
